I am an absolute fan of Thai food. On my last trip to Singapore, I was bogged down by the variety of food choices and restaurants Singapore had to offer. So I did struggle to locate the neighborhood which could offer me a variety of Thai restaurants to choose from.
This is one practical example of how web scraping can provide enormous insights to individuals and businesses. I indeed web scraped the names of different neighborhoods in Singapore, geocoded them, and obtained the geolocations of Thai restaurants.
